North Tanzania

A safari is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife adventures and Tanzania is an iconic safari destination. Home to all of Africa’s “Big Five” and to the annual “Great Migration”, the northern parks are undoubtedly the most popular national parks in Tanzania, offering the best and most diverse safari experiences.

Typically, the northern parks attract a large majority of first time safari goers due to their accessibility and the presence of many camps and lodges to satisfy all tastes and budgets. The wildlife sightings are practically guaranteed all year round including many predators, as well as large herds of all kinds of animals, and hundreds of bird species. There is definitely something to satisfy everyone here. The only downside is the popularity of the northern safari circuit which can make it a little congested during peak seasons.

Departing from Moshi or Arusha, you will leave with your local driver-guide in a 4WD vehicle to discover one or all the national parks, depending on your choice of itinerary. The northern parks are relatively close to each other and offer the best safari routes, as well as being pleasant to visit all year round due to their temperate climate.
